From there, it was straight to the quarter where I finally broke down and got a t-shirt I've been wanting forever. I think I'm going to pair it with a white or black maxi skirt for something different but of course, it will look great with jeans!
After that, we ate lunch and then decided to go have hurricanes at Pat O' Briens. It's totally cliche' and tourist-y, but it's one of my favorite places! I could sit in the courtyard for hours and the hurricanes always make me feel great without a hangover. But no more than two!!
After cocktails, we decided to check in at the hotel and get ready for dinner. I've heard from many people to try the charbroiled oysters at Drago's and I'm so glad I did! They literally melt in your mouth! I have pics on my IPod but it wouldn't let me download for some reason.
We finished out the next day with lunch at Cochon Butcher in the warehouse district. Jamie got a pulled pork dish that was kind of like a pulled pork crab cake that sat in cabbage and greens which was so savory and delicious! I wasn't too adventurous so I got macaroni casserole and shrimp gumbo with a shrimp filled deviled egg. Delish!
Then it was off to Buffalo Exchange on Magazine Street. If you love a good find for a good bargain, this is the place. It's a consignment shop with plenty of high-end scores. I got a lovely silk blouse with red and yellow owls from Mona B., a cute boho top from Forever 21, and the most fabulous buy of the whole trip was a pair of red Tory Burch flats for 42 bucks! Yes!
We really didn't take a lot of pics this time since this was like our 100th trip to NOLA, but I'll leave with you with a from Jackson Square. New Orleans is a truly cultural and magical place. Please go if you ever get a chance. The people their are laid back and the food and music are spectacular. It's not just a place to drink and trash. It truly is the most European city in America!
